Richmond, B.C. – On June 4, 2024, ExcelSense Technologies proudly welcomed the Honourable Jagrup Brar, former Minister of Trade and current Minister of Mining and Critical Minerals for British Columbia, for an official visit to its headquarters in Richmond. He was joined by MLA Aman Singh, MLA for Richmond–Queensborough.

The visit recognized ExcelSense as one of British Columbia’s fastest-growing, innovative, and multicultural companies. Minister Brar and MLA Singh were received by the ExcelSense executive team: Founder and CEO Nima Nabavi, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development & Marketing Golareh Habibi, Director of Engineering Ian Bell, and Director of Operations Rikki Sidhu.

Founded by University of British Columbia (UBC) graduates, ExcelSense is a proudly B.C.-born company, built and scaled in the province. From its roots in local innovation, the company is now rapidly expanding its global reach — bringing made-in-B.C. technology to industrial sites across the world.

During the visit, the guests toured ExcelSense’s R&D and production facilities, learned about its cutting-edge technology, and engaged in discussions about the company’s contributions to clean tech, advanced manufacturing, and the future of industrial automation.

ExcelSense specializes in rugged, self-cleaning vision systems engineered for the harshest conditions, serving sectors such as mining, oil & gas, and heavy industry. Its solutions enhance safety, reliability, and operational efficiency in environments where traditional camera systems fail.

“It was inspiring to visit ExcelSense and see the advanced technologies being developed here,” said Minister Brar. “They reflect the kind of innovation, diversity, and technical excellence that’s driving British Columbia’s future.”

“We were honored to host Minister Brar and MLA Singh,” said Golareh Habibi. “Their visit reaffirmed the importance of investing in Canadian industrial innovation — and we’re proud to be building that legacy right here in B.C.”
